Living the Dream

(August 7, 2020) 2020 Crystal Lake Annual General Meeting Change in Format

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 concerns and provincial restrictions on public gatherings, held both inside and outdoors, the 2020 Crystal Lake Annual General Meeting will no longer be an in-person event. The format for 2020 will be a posting of relevant documents under a 2020 AGM tab on the web site www.hamletofcrystallake.ca
Unfortunately, there will be no opportunity for motions to be presented, discussed and voted on. We will accept, post and table motions until there is an opportunity for meaningful discussion and voting. There will be an opportunity for voters to provide feedback and comments on each element provided on the agenda. Any ideas, comments and concerns can be submitted in an Open Forum component of the web site agenda.
The Hamlet Board regrets we cannot host a traditional AGM with its personal interactions, and feels this electronic format will still serve the broad intentions and requirements of the AGM. This format was decided by the Hamlet Board in consultation with the RM of Keys’ Reeve, Division 6 Councillor and Administrator.
We will be building the 2020 AGM site with the expectation that all documents will be available by August 15, 2020.
Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to your responses and comments.

Provincial Association of Resort Communities of Saskatchewan (PARCS)

The Provincial Association of Resort Communities of Saskatchewan (PARCS) is the independent association that supports and represents the interests of cottage communities of Saskatchewan.  Its newsletter is very relevant to common and emerging issues and concerns facing resort communities.  The Organized Hamlet of Crystal Lake is a member of PARCS.  We have now added a link to the PARCS web site on the Crystal Lake web site for ease of access for anyone interested in further information about PARCS and common interests and concerns of resort communities.
