The re-paving of Lakeview Drive, Beach Crescent and the boat launch was completed in early October, 2019 by G. W. Construction of Buchanan.  Shortly thereafter, the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure approved the re-paving from Highway #9 to the Y or the forks where the SaskTel building and cell tower are located.  This has been a very pleasant improvement for travel around Crystal Lake.
